Baptisms are held on the second and fourth Sundays of each month, at 12:45 PM in the church. This is for children (infants through six years of age). Please contact Deacon Sal Campagna for registration.
To prepare for the Sacrament of Baptism, parents must attend a Baptismal Preparation class. This is for first-time parents only. These classes are usually offered on the third Saturday morning of each month, in the church. This class will deepen their understanding of their role in the religious formation of the child and their knowledge of the sacrament. Please contact Deacon Sal Campagna to register for the class.
If you wish to start the registration process for Baptism on-line, please fill out the form at: https://goo.gl/XENWUZ
Children 7 years and older have reached the “age of reason,” and are therefore able to come to at least a basic understanding of their faith. Because of this, it is important that they receive two years of faith formation to prepare them to receive the Sacrament of Baptism, and any other Sacraments of Initiation (Eucharist, Confirmation).
Children who have not received formal instruction in the faith from a Catholic School or Parish are invited to join our Religious Education program to prepare for Baptism. We will typically register a child for our regular RE program for their first year, and for their second year, they will join a sacramental preparation group with other children in their same situation (RCIC or Rite of Christian Initiation for Children). High school-aged youth will be evaluated on an individual basis.
To register your child for the Religious Education program, please contact Remee Vargas.
Adults seeking baptism into the Catholic Church are invited to attend the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). The RCIA is a group for adults who want to learn more about the Catholic faith, and are considering joining the Catholic Church by preparing to receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Communion/Eucharist, and Confirmation). We invite you to contact our RCIA Director, Karen Elmore, about coming to one of our welcoming sessions! Sessions are held Monday evenings, beginning in September, at 7:00 PM, in the Religious Education Office.
